Welcome to our Jackson Friends of the Library web site! The Jackson Friends are happy to enjoy a beautiful building that replaced the old facility about twelve years ago. So now that we have this wonderful facility we feel even more strongly about our purpose, which is to create public interest in the library and make people aware of all the wonderful resources, services and needs of the library.
During the past years we have supported many programs, purchased needed equipment and made aesthetic contributions. Each year we hold a book sale in the spring that has been very successful and has enabled us to help with the development of the new library. The Ocean County Library system has developed new and exciting goals to keep up with the new technologies available to the public so it may serve the needs of the growing community. The Friends are excited to be part of helping to reach these goals.
We invite new members to join all year long. Consider attending our next monthly meeting. We meet in the Meeting Room of the Jackson Library on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. We look forward to welcoming you.

"Super Nova" original painting and prints
by Red Bank artist Monika McCall
The Jackson Friends donated and installed Super Nova by Red Bank artist Monika McCall. Super Nova is an original acrylic on canvas and is on the right of the window. The pieces to the left are glicee painted on canvas showing details from the original piece. Ms. McCall had mounted her work in painted blue wooden frames that exactly matched the library’s furniture!
On Saturday, November 2, 2013, the library held a dedication and reception celebrating the donation. Members were able to meet the artist and we enjoyed refreshments and live music by harpist Joanne Baldachino of Jackson.
