The Ocean County Library only accepts applications for specific titles when vacancies occur or are anticipated.

Unsolicited applications received by the Library for all occupations or titles, other than for posted positions, will not be used or returned. Our purpose is to ensure credibility with our hiring process and give every applicant a realistic chance at gaining employment.

Please see active job listings under "Current Openings". It is the responsibility of members of the public to check the listing on a frequent basis if seeking employment with the Ocean County Library.

Please note. New announcements for employment opportunities with the Ocean County Library which are open to the public will be posted here for a minimum of three days. Hard to fill positions will be announced for longer periods. The Library reserves the right to stop accepting applications before the posted closing date whenever the early response produces a sufficient pool of qualified applicants from which to make a competitive selection. When this condition occurs a notice to that effect will appear with the original posting before the announcement is removed.

Submitting an application for any announced employment opportunity does not guarantee an interview; however, applicants who file for a specific opening will hear from our Office of Human Resources regarding the disposition of their applications.
