The Board administers a number of time-limited programs to
aid persons who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless. Provides emergency
temporary housing. In some cases may provide payment of up to two month's back rent or
mortgage to prevent eviction or foreclosure. A small number of rent subsidy slots may be
available to certain households. Other services such as food, clothing, medication, and
transportation are also provided. All cases are screened and referred to all other
resources. The program is available on a 24-hour basis through existing Special Response
Program. Funding is limited so assistance is not always available. |
