Assists veterans with Veterans Administration claims and state benefits. Provides a free scheduled transportation program for veterans to three VA hospitals. Will assist with pension, education, burial, insurance, employment and nursing home applications. If unable to assist will provide the veteran with as much information as possible and then give them a referral. House calls where circumstance necessitates.

The mission and purpose of the Vetwork Program is to meet the immediate and long term needs of Ocean County Veterans and to provide in-depth services, which will assist the veteran in securing/upgrading employment and obtaining permanent, affordable housing.

Services: Job search assistance, emergency shelter, food, filing claims for VA benefits or pensions, transportation, counseling for combat/war veterans, referrals for substance abuse, detoxification and long term counseling programs. In depth supportive services to homeless and senior veterans.

Eligibility: Honorably discharged - must provide DD214 (discharge papers) and must meet income requirements. All services are free.

Assists vulnerable adults who are victims of abuse, exploitation and deliberate caretaker neglect by providing case management services necessary to ensure their health, emotional well being, safety and quality of life. Services include, but are not limited to, securing safe housing, legal assistance, food, utilities, clothing, necessary home repair/home purging services, transportation for medical care and emergency nursing home placement.

State agency that provides financial compensation to eligible innocent victims of violent crime for out-of-pocket expenses resulting from the crime.

Services: Compensation for out-of-pocket medical bills, funeral expenses, mental health therapy, loss of earnings/support which result from the crime up to $25,000.

Eligibility: Innocent victim, police report filed within 90 days, cooperation with law enforcement, prosecutor and VCCB. Crime must have been committed in NJ or in a jurisdiction without a compensation program.

Visitation Program 732-364-4590 Serves families who have had a child or children placed in foster care by the Division of Youth and Family Services and who are required to be supervised in order to visit with their child or children. The goal of this program is to maintain regular contact on a planned basis between child, parent, family members and/or significant others that will reinforce the plan of reunification, help the child to maintain a sense of family identity or determine other permanent plans for the child.

A nationally accredited nonprofit agency providing adult day care and in-home assistance with personal care and activities of daily living to elderly, ill, disabled and convalescing residents of Ocean County.

Medicare-certified, nonprofit organization providing in-home health care, certified hospice and community-based services. Provides many visits to clients in community based sites, including primary care centers and outreach services.

Subjects: HOME HEALTH CARE: PROFESSIONAL

Services: Intermittent skilled nursing care, home health aide services, physical, occupation, and speech therapy, infusion therapy, enterostomal therapy, medical social work, certified hospice services, senior wellness programs, immunization programs for adults and children (flu, pneumovax, hepatitis B). Specialized programs include child and parent program, specialized care and IV therapy services, continence program, nutrition and certified diabetes educator services, services to day care centers, healthy families Asbury Park, certified hospice program, senior wellness, WIC supplemental nutrition program, mobile outreach clinic program, personal care services, personal response system, and public health.

Eligibility: Serving residents of all ages and income levels. Many services covered by Medicare, Medicaid or other insurance. Sliding scale available based on the ability to pay.
