- Seven Branches (Barnegat, Brick, Jackson, Lakewood, Manchester, Stafford and Toms River) will be open on Thanksgiving Friday, November 27.
- The Library System will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25 and Thursday, December 31.
Sunday Hours (September - May)
Ocean County Library Sunday hours have resumed! Three branches of the library system are open September through May coinciding with the public school year calendar. Stafford, Toms River, and Lakewood are open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Sunday. These locations allow a branch to be open on Sundays in southern, central and northern Ocean County.
The purpose of Sunday hours is to offer more accessibility to all members of our community. These additional hours will accommodate both parents and students as a whole. So many parents work Saturdays and many students are very involved in extracurricular activities after school and on Saturdays. Sunday hours have become necessary to meet the growing needs of the public.

Summer Hours (May - September)
The Ocean County Library will be closed on Sundays for the summer.
The last Sunday the library is open (at the Toms River, Lakewood and Stafford branches, from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm) is May 17, 2009. Sunday hours will resume September 13, 2009.
