Make Hanging Pocket Baskets in a Craft Workshop Coming to the Waretown Library
July 28, 2026WARETOWN – Are you looking to do a craft that is both fun and practical? The Waretown Branch of the Ocean County Library will host “Handmade Craft Workshop: Hanging Pocket Basket” from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, August 24.
Instructor Steven R. Carty will lead you through the basics of basket weaving while creating your very own beautiful and functional hanging pocket basket. The baskets will be perfect for holding mail, greenery, or small household items.
Come unwind, get creative, and take home a handmade piece you will be proud of.
All materials will be provided. No previous crafting experience is needed. Participants should be comfortable following multi-step directions and completing the project independently, as this is a detailed hands-on weaving workshop with limited one-on-one assistance available.
