Ocean County Library Partners in Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Webinar

TOMS RIVER – The Ocean County Library will collaborate with the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey in a free webinar about preventing substance abuse in children and teens, 1 PM Tuesday, July 14.

Registration is under way for the 30-minute multi-media virtual program, viewable in the comfort of your home.

Viewers will gain awareness of fears, anxiety and stress that children and teens are undergoing related to COVID-19. The presentation will help parents, grandparents, caregivers, teachers and coaches to empower children with positive choices and coping skills.

Topics to be discussed include vaping trends, tips for conversations about drugs and alcohol, pop culture and media influences, and stress management. Registrants will have access to a Parent Resource Guide.
