Homework Help

Homework Help is available at the Lakewood Branch during the school year for students in elementary through high school. Assistance is available on a drop-in basis Monday through Friday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. This program is free and open to all students. For information, please contact the Lakewood Branch of the Ocean County Library at (732) 363-1435.

Homework and Research Websites 

Here are some places to go to get help with homework and research.

America's Story is brought to you from the Library of Congress, the largest library in the world and the nation's library. It was designed especially with young people in mind, but there are great stories for people of all ages.It's a great place to go for "primary materials".

USA.gov is an easy-to-search, free-access website designed to give you a centralized place to find information from local, state, and U.S. Government Agency websites.

HistoryCentral.com - Sponsored by MultiEducator, Inc., their logo says it all.It's a great place to find help for your Social Studies project.

The History Channel is great place for researching a historical topic, finding out what happened "This Day in History" and checking out their TV schedule.

Biography.com provides over 7,000 biographies of various famous people throughout time.

- A question-answering, help and referral service to K?12 students on the Internet. Look for their favorite web sites organized by subject.

ipl2.org - Narrow a search through links organized by subject, or search by using keyword, subject, title, or description.

Homework Spot organizes homework help into grade levels and topics. There's even a link for taking a break from studying!

The Multnomah County Library Homework Center is an Internet subject directory, consisting of Web sites and web pages that specifically concentrate on k-12 homework-related subjects.

Ocean County Schools - Visit the Web sites of various grade schools, high schools, and vocational schools in the county.
