This training will provide the knowledge and tools to recognize as well as understand girls within the gang culture. Females have always played a role within the gang culture, but this role evolved greatly over the past few years. Girls have taken a more proactive and violent role in gangs. This workshop will explore the sociological and psychological tendencies of the girl gang member as well as explore the realm of girl gangs for a greater understanding of the life of a female gang member

This free program is funded through a community collaboration of the: OC Board of Chosen Freeholders, OC Youth Services Commission, OC Health Department, NJSC Ocean County Probation Juvenile Supervision, OC Library, Municipal Alliance Project, NJ Governors Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse
