Autism Family Services of New Jersey

Offers recreational programs, after school programs, support coordination, employment services, and more.

Autism New Jersey

Provides general information, a helpline and referral services for caregivers, and focuses on public policy.

POAC Autism Services

Offers recreational events for families. Also hosts training programs for caregivers, educators, first responders, and other professionals.

 

National Organizations

Association for Autism and Neurodiversity

Services include coaching, trainings, IEP reviews, independent living support, support groups, social groups, and more.

Autism Society

Has a helpline, an employment initiative, a Water & Wandering Safety Program, and online trainings. Is also involved in public policy.

Autistic Self Advocacy Network

Run by autistic people, this group fights for rights and inclusion. The organization’s motto is “Nothing About Us Without Us.” It’s involved in education and public policy.

Autistic Women & Nonbinary Network

Provides support to autistic women and autistics of marginalized genders.

The Color of Autism Foundation

Supports Black families affected by autism. Resources include culturally responsible parent trainings, a parent support group and a Black Fathers support group, educational resources, life skills development programs, and advocacy.

National Autism Association

NAA focuses on the safety of autistic people. Resources include the free “Big Red Safety Box” containing tools for families, information about wandering, water safety, and bullying prevention, and facts about autism.
