All branches of the Ocean County Library are closing at 5:00pm today, Wednesday, June 7th, due to air quality conditions.

The Whiting Reading Center and the Tuckerton Branch are currently experiencing an issue with their phone lines.
To contact the Whiting Reading Center or Tuckerton Branch, please call the Toms River Branch at 732-349-6200 and ask the operator to forward your call to the Whiting Reading Center or Tuckerton branch.

The volunteer program, Service and Achievement In the Library (S.A.I.L.) is offered to teens that have completed at least 7th grade. The S.A.I.L. program allows teens the opportunity to serve their community while learning, sharing, and having fun.

This year, the Ocean County Library is offering S.A.I.L. solely in-person, except at Beachwood. Beachwood will participate in Virtual S.A.I.L. for 2023.

There are limits to the amount of volunteers that can participate in-person, so positions will fill on a first come first serve basis.

In addition, this year, various locations will participate in a new version of Reading Buddies. To find out more about Reading Buddies and which branches are participating, please view the details here.

Please contact your local branch teen services librarian with any concerns and/or questions.
