The Long Beach Island Branch will be open for door-side service, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Tuesday, May 11 through Thursday, May 13.
The branch is closed Friday, May 14 for Staff Development Day and will reopen for full library services to the public on Saturday, May 15, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.
In accord with updated guidelines issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and in consultation with the Ocean County Health Department, the Ocean County Library will discontinue quarantining of books and materials beginning the week of April 26.

The Ocean County Library continues to provide service in the safest way possible.
Library staff and customers are required to wear a cloth face covering while in the indoor portion of the premises, except when doing so would inhibit that individual’s health or where the individual is under 2 years of age, as per Executive Order 157 of the Governor of the State of New Jersey. Door-side service is available for any customer who cannot wear a cloth face covering due to a health condition.

Contact-less pickup of materials is available, using our self-pick up holds and our self-check kiosks. Please remember to bring your library card to use the kiosks.
Overdue fines will not accrue on materials during this time.
Seating will be limited to allow for social distancing.
At this time, our meeting rooms and quiet study areas are unavailable.
All in-person programs and events are suspended.
Additionally, short-term browsing will be allowed; we ask that you are mindful of those wishing to use the library and limit your time spent in our libraries due to the limited 50% capacity.
