Be a Smart Shopper – Consumer Reports Tutorial at Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch

SURF CITY – Being an informed shopper for a car, major appliance, mattress, or other significant purchase can be an overwhelming task. Fortunately, Ocean County Library card holders can check their facts with Consumer Reports magazine online. Learn how to access it at the OCL Long Beach Island Branch, 10 AM Wednesday, February 7.

Consumer Reports is the independent nonprofit monthly that has provided information on product testing, product ratings, research, investigative journalism and public education on behalf of consumers nationwide since 1936.

Ocean County Library cardholders can use the online magazine to research items from the current issue back to 1985.The seminar will show how to access it through the OCL online database to retrieve fair and unbiased product ratings and reviews.
