Craft a Centennial Ceramic Cup at the Ocean County Library Lakewood Branch

August 25, 2025

LAKEWOOD – Celebrate the Ocean County Library’s 100th anniversary by creating a personal keepsake. Paint and decorate your own ceramic mug at the OCL Lakewood Branch, 11 AM Saturday, September 20.

Staffers of Waretown’s Just Kil’n Time Ceramics Studio will help you to create a unique, reading-themed mug to mark OCL’s centennial year, and then take your ceramic piece to the studio for firing in their kiln. They will return at a later date with your finished mug. When you are done, stay for the milestone celebration in our Branch, including cake!

This program is part of our system-wide 100th Anniversary Celebration sponsored by the Ocean County Library Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization now in its 24th year of enhancing services and opportunities to all Library users. Members raise funds and seek grants to support non-traditional Library programs and services.

Seating is limited, so please register at tinyurl.com/LakMug100 for this free program. For more information, please visit or call the OCL Lakewood Branch, 301 Lexington Avenue, (732) 363-1435. See the full schedule of Library programs in the online Calendar of Events.
