February 4, 2025

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP – Venture into the thick night fog of Victorian London where mayhem is descending on the posh world of fine art. Novelist Patrice McDonough, will take you inside her spine-tingling new whodunit, A Slash of Emerald, in her Book Talk at the Ocean County Library Berkeley Branch, 6 PM Tuesday, March 4.

A Slash of Emerald sets Dr. Julia Lewis and Inspector Tennent on the trail of a murderer whose growing list of victims seems to encompass women artists and their models. They soon discover that in luxurious London, elegant monsters inhabit the most fashionable addresses.

The riveting mystery is the follow-up to Patrice’s Murder By Lamplight, available in hardcover at the Ocean County Library, which won plaudits from Kirkus Reviews, Booklist, Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, and suspense masters including Mary Jane Clark.
