April 10, 2025

FORKED RIVER – In times of sorrow, guiding teens past their darkness requires sensitivity and awareness. Hackensack Meridian Health experts will illustrate how to be supportive and knowledgeable during “Adolescent Grief and Depression” in the Ocean County Library Lacey Branch, 6 PM Tuesday, May 6.

This insightful presentation will show differences in the ways adolescents and adults express grief. You will learn how to recognize signs of grief and differentiate them from signs of depression.

The discussion will also examine the important role of development, social pressures, and coping mechanisms that shape how adolescents grieve.
