Fred Lehotay and the Ragtimers Summer Concerts Coming to Ocean County Library Branches
July 31, 2025TOMS RIVER – Looking for a relaxing afternoon of music? Take a sentimental journey with Fred Lehotay and the Ragtimers as they perform classic ragtime favorites from the 1920s at several branches of the Ocean County Library.
This program will take place at the following dates and locations:
- 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21: Point Pleasant Beach Branch, 710 McLean Ave, 732-892-4575
- 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23: Brick Branch, 301 Chambers Bridge, 732-477-4513
- 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29: Upper Shores Branch, 112 Jersey City Ave, Lavallette, 732-793-3996
The Ragtimers have been performing old-time sentimental melodies and rousing ragtime favorites since 1968. They keep alive the great music of the Roaring Twenties and introducing new generations to music of a great bygone era. The Ragtimers include Gary Nokes on bass, Bob Estler on guitar, Tom Rittenhouse on banjo, and bandleader Fred Lehotay on alto saxophone.
