Learn to Create a Bird-Friendly Yard at the Ocean County Library Berkeley Branch
March 28, 2025BERKELEY TOWNSHIP – Birds enhance our lives every day with cheery songs, fluttery movement and, of course, colorful attire. See how easy it can be to create a haven for our feathered friends during “Attracting Birds to Your Yard” at the Ocean County Library Berkeley Branch, 1 PM Saturday, April 26.
Members of the Ocean County Soil Conservation District will offer tips for landscaping that supports their needs and eliminates harmful chemicals. We will explore a wide selection of bird-friendly native plants that provide food, protection, nesting materials and sheltered spots for raising their young in your yard.
Founded in 1952, the Ocean County Soil Conservation District, under the aegis of the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, offers instruction in sensible use of natural resources, monitor effects of development, and promote environmental stewardship in the Barnegat Bay Watershed.
