Meet Shore Artists Joan Weiss & Friends at the Ocean County Library Jackson Branch
April 23, 2025JACKSON TOWNSHIP – The Ocean County Library Jackson Branch is pleased to feature an exhibit of art by Joan Weiss and Friends throughout the months of May and June. You are invited to meet the creators during their Artists’ Reception in the Branch, 1 PM ‘til 3 PM Saturday, May 10.
The display will feature original, thought-provoking and subtly nuanced images by local artists Joan Weiss, Raquel Andryszezyk, Ruth Bernarducci, Donna Bruton, Jack Kreisberg, Laurie Lewczyk and Judy Manco.
Born and raised in New York City, Joan found borough parks to be sources of inspiration and of appreciation for the vibrant colors and comforting atmosphere that natural surroundings provide. Attending private and public art classes and exploring her spiritual side brought new insights to the messages that Joan communicates through her art.
Since her 2010 debut display in the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center, she has become an in-demand exhibitor at other local venues including the Ocean County Library Brick, Lakewood, Jackson, Manchester, and Point Pleasant Borough branches.
“Visiting art galleries and traveling abroad increased my awareness of various regions,” Joan reflected. “Through my journey into the studies of spirituality and metaphysics it has enhanced my color palette and deeper themes of my artwork. My new inspirational creations are still unfolding.”
The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. No registration is required. The exhibit can be viewed during normal Branch operating hours.
