Special Needs Individuals, Find Career Possibilities at the Ocean County Library Lacey Branch

July 3, 2025

LACEY TOWNSHIP – Career choices for individuals with intellectual or developmental challenges are expanding as misconceptions continue to shrink. In honor of Disability Pride Month, join us for “Vocational Paths for Teens and Adults with Special Challenges” at the Ocean County Library Lacey Branch, 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24.

Teens and adults with special challenges and their caregivers are welcome to join us as Venus Majeski, Director of Development and Community Relations for the New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID), reveals resources for finding career paths that suit individual needs, interests and aspirations.

NJID’s mission is to provide resources and services for the independence, purpose and dignity of people with intellectual, developmental and related disabilities and their families, regardless of race, gender, creed, economic status or age. The Institute serves more than 1,500 infants, children and adults.
