Teen Buddy + Kid Buddy = Summer Reading Fun!Are you too old for summer camp,
|
Thanks for your interest in our Reading Buddies program!
Reading Buddies allows a Kid Buddy (in grades Kindergarten through Third grade) to practice reading with a Teen Buddy (or Teen Volunteer) in our S.A.I.L. program.
Kid Reading Buddies should register for a session at their local branch through our Event Calendar, similar to registering for a Storytime.
The day of the session, the Kid Buddy will partner with an available Teen Buddy and choose a book to read. They will take turns reading!
Teen Buddies (or Teen Volunteers) interested in participating in Reading Buddies need to apply and be registered for a S.A.I.L. program at their local branch. S.A.I.L. applications are available the first week of May every year and can be found here!
To find a Reading Buddies session to attend for your child, please check our Event Calendar below!
Also, be sure to log any books read during Reading Buddies by participating in the Summer Reading Challenge on Beanstack!
