MLB Season Forecast Inaugurates Ocean County Library Podcast Series

MANCHESTER – A lively dialog about the 2021 Major League Baseball season kicks off the Ocean County Library’s exciting new podcast series, “OCL Sound Waves.”

The Library’s podcasts can be heard on Spotify, Anchor by Spotify, Breaker, Google Podcasts, Pocket Casts, and Radio Public.

“Take Me Out to the Ball Game” features banter between Manchester Branch Youth Services Librarian Lou Nemphos and Principal Library Assistant Maria Colon about off-season player movements, postseason predictions the newest rule changes.

The podcast allows their traditional live discussions, which have drawn fans to the Branch several times each season since 2006, to continue in a manner conducive to public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The dialog is also a precursor to a live virtual discussion with Dan Gutman, author of the “Baseball Card Adventures” series, 6:30 PM Thursday, August 26.
