From the North:
From the Garden State Parkway- From the North-
Take the Garden State Parkway to Exit 77 for
Berkeley. At the end of the exit ramp, turn
left onto Double Trouble Road. At the end
of Double Trouble Road, turn left onto Forest
Hills Parkway/Veterans Blvd., and go approximately
1.8 miles to the third traffic light. Turn
left onto Western Blvd. Go 2/10 mile, and
turn right onto Central Blvd., which is the
first street you will come to. Take Central
Blvd. to the end, approximately 1 mile, and
turn left onto Wheaton Road. Go 3/10 mile,
and turn right onto Station Road, which is
the second right. The Berkeley Branch is 7/10
mile down Station Road on the left.
From the South:
Take the Garden State Parkway to Exit 77
for Berkeley.At the traffic light at the bottom
of the ramp, turn right onto Forest Hills
Parkway/Veterans Blvd. Central Regional schools
will be on your right. Travel on this road
approximately 1 mile to the second traffic
light. Turn left onto Western Blvd. Go 2/10
mile, and turn right onto Central Blvd., which
is the first street you will come to. Take
Central Blvd. to the end, approximately 1
mile, and turn left onto Wheaton Road. Go
3/10 mile, and turn right onto Station Road,
which is the second right. The Berkeley Branch
is 7/10 mile down Station Road on the left.
From Route 9:
From the North - Route 9 and the Garden State
Parkway join around Toms River. After Route
9 exits the Parkway south of Toms River, keep
bearing right onto Route 9 South. Take it
for approximately 5 miles to the traffic light
at Station Road (Berkeley First Aid Station
is on your right). Turn right onto Station
Road, and take it for 2/10 of a mile to the
Berkeley Library on your right.
From the South:
Take Route 9 North past the traffic light
at Central Parkway/Butler Blvd. in Bayville
to the next traffic light at Station Road.
(The Berkeley First Aid Squad is on the far
corner to your left.) Turn left on Station
Road, and take it for 2/10 of a mile to the
Berkeley Library on the right.
From the Camden Area:
Take Route 70 East to the circle at the
Route 72 junction. Turn onto Route 72 East
and take it to Manahawkin where you will pick
up the Garden State Parkway North. Follow
directions “From the South.”
From the New Brunswick Area:
Take Route 18 South to the Parkway South.
Then follow directions "From the North."
Public Transportation:
Ocean
County Transportation and Vehicle Services Department
provides fixed-route services and a handicapped
and elderly transportation service (Ocean Ride),
arrangements for which can be made by telephone
(732-736-8989). The route that comes closest
to the Berkeley Branch is the East
Berkeley Route #7. Check here for the map
of the route.

from the Transit Information Center between
the hours of 6:00 a.m. and midnight at (800)
772-2222 within N.J. or (973) 762-5100 out of

The closest official bus stop is at Route
9 and Ocean Gate Drive, approximately 1.1
miles north of the Berkeley Branch. The bus
will stop at Station Road upon request.
There are no local taxicab services in Berkeley
Township. Please refer to services from Lacey
