Finding My Way with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai
October 2, 2025TOMS RIVER – The Ocean County Library is proud to present a virtual author talk with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 22
Malala Yousafzai quickly became an international icon at the age of fifteen, known for bravery and resilience following a brutal attack on her life by the Taliban. But away from the cameras and crowds, she spent years struggling to find her place in an unfamiliar world. With Finding My Way, she reintroduces herself to the world, reminding us that real role models aren’t perfect – they’re human. Finding My Way is a vulnerable, surprising memoir full of authenticity, sharp humor, and tenderness.
Yousafzai is an education activist, the youngest-even Novel laureate, and bestselling author of the groundbreaking 2012 book, I Am Malala: The Story of a Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban. She was born in Mingora, Pakistan in 1997 and graduated from Oxford University in 2020. Yousafzai’s upcoming book, Finding My Way: A Memoir, is scheduled for worldwide publication October 21.
